Intermediate and Senior Interior Designer

By + Large Studios is an Interior Design Studio located downtown Dartmouth, NS. We deliver integrated design solutions for a variety of clients using ourexperience working in Hospitality, Corporate, Retail and Multi-residential industries.

As a growing Interior Design Studio, we are expanding our team.  B+L is looking for a creative, driven Full Time Intermediate Interior Designer.  This position is for a Designer who wants to push boundaries with fresh, new and innovative design solutions. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of full scope Interior Design with experience in managing projects from conception to full design implementation.

Intermediate Interior Designer Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in interior design related position

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program

Qualification for NCIDQ recommended

Proficiency with AutoCAD required

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Sketch Up and Rendering software is considered an asset

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word

Experience with Interior Design drawing package coordination and production, including all relevant plans, elevations, details, schedules and specifications 

Attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, complete, and legible drawings

Familiarity with local and/or national Building Codes

Experience in programming, planning principles, materials and furnishings.

Strong design and leadership skills and a professional work ethic

Excellent organizational and technical skills 

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and professional work ethic

Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborate, team environment. 

 

 

Senior Interior Designer Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum 7 years experience in interior design related position

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited program

NCIDQ Certified

Ability to lead a team of designers and technicians
